Previously, Richard worked at the world’s largest independent creative agency, The Imagination Group, as a Board Director responsible for special events, and live communication activity across the world.
Richard has worked on an international scale has extensive experience across the United States, Europe Middle East and Asia he and sits on the Chicago based Board of Governors of the International Special Event Society (ISES). He was President of the UK Chapter of ISES in 2010.
In 2012 Richard was appointed Vice Chair of the Business Visitors and Events Partnership (BVEP) a partnership that acts as unifying body to represent the leading trade and professional associations within UK Tourism, Business Visits and Events as well as Government agencies with a vested interest in the tourism, trade and creative Industry.
In 2012 Richard Foulkes founded The Paradise Experiment a hub for inspiration, assistance and connections.
He acts as a Non-Executive Director for a number of agencies including the London based Agency Live Union.
He was 2012 Meeting and Incentive Travel Magazine Personality of the Year.
